We are not your typical Hawaii scuba diving operation and we are eager to show you why. First and foremost, we limit our dive groups to six or fewer divers (usually 4 or fewer), something you will not find with other Oahu scuba diving companies. Second, Reef Pirates Diving is a smaller Hawaii dive company that wants to stay small. We have no desire to be the biggest dive company in Hawaii, just the best. As a small Oahu dive company, we do not have the overhead of a huge dive shop with numerous employees and shelves full of merchandise, so we have the ability to keep our dive groups small and offer a more personalized Hawaii scuba diving service, while keeping our prices lower than most Hawaii scuba diving companies.
Reef Pirates Diving is owned and operated by Sean Deming. With over 20 years of diving various parts of the globe, Sean saw the need for a more personalized diving experience here on Oahu. While most of the dive shops here on Oahu have to focus on numbers in order to cover their overhead, Reef Pirates Diving does not. Instead of focusing on quantity, we focus on quality. As a result, we limit our dive groups to 6 divers or less!.
Reef Pirates Diving does not operate a retail store. We do not have a huge showroom with tons of gear for sale. We are not interested in retail sales. Frankly, we don't want to be inside a store all day, we want to be diving. Since we don't operate a retail store, we don't have the overhead that most of the Hawaii dive shops have. This allows us to take smaller groups, offer a more personalized service, and maintain some of the lowest scuba diving prices in all of Hawaii.
Additionally, when you dive with Reef Pirates Diving, you are diving with the owner. While most companies leave your experience in the hands of hired guns, we do not. We are there for every dive. As far as we know we are the only company on the island that can boast this.

Born in Santa Cruz, California in 1972, Sean first tried scuba diving at the age of sixteen and was instantly hooked. After more than thirteen years working as an engineer in the semi-conductor business for companies such as LSI Logic and Intel, Sean decided to give up the corporate world and pursue his true passion - Scuba Diving. In December of 2004, Sean moved to Oahu with a dream of starting his own scuba diving business. That dream became Reef Pirates Diving. On his days off you'll most likely find him in the water somewhere fishing, diving, or searching for new dive sites to explore.
